Get Truth Get Life Ministries exists to put scripture in front of people in a form they can actually use — a text to sit with, a prayer to pray, and something specific to go and do about it.

What you will find here

The teachings on this site are short studies. Each one takes a passage, stays with it rather than skating across it, and ends somewhere practical. They are free to read, and always will be.

The bookshop holds seven books built the same way. Four are twelve-month devotionals. One works through fifty-two weeks on a single idea — that the battles worth winning are won by obedience and rest rather than effort. One is an eighty-six chapter walk through Hebrews 11, each chapter opening with an original poem. The last is seventy pages arguing that excellence is commanded rather than optional.

Between them they run to around four thousand pages, with a full bibliography in every volume.

How the studies are built

Almost every one opens with a KEY TEXT, most often from the King James Version, and then works outward through cross-references and plain application before closing with a written prayer and an activity — write down the names of people who have wronged you and pray over the list; go through what you own and ask how each thing is used for God’s glory.
